Soaring into 2025
We’ve had wonderful start to the new school year. The atmosphere in our classrooms is filled with enthusiasm as both students and teachers collaborate to build a strong foundation for learning and growth.
As we begin 2025, students across our classes have spent the past two weeks engaged in a collective, 'Soaring to Success', inquiry. Inspired by the provocation, ‘What if we each had a superpower to make a difference?’, students have embarked on a meaningful exploration of their unique strengths, whether it’s showing kindness, being an active listener, encouraging others, or helping classmates feel included.
By recognising these individual strengths and qualities, students are learning how to foster a sense of belonging. They are gaining an understanding of their role within the class and how they contribute to their school community.
Students have had opportunities to demonstrate our school value of ‘curiosity’, by asking thoughtful questions, exploring new ideas, and reflecting on ways to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
At Ascot, we value being:
|
 Caring: |
We belong and feel valued |
|
 Curious: |
We have the desire to learn, to understand new things, and to know how things work |
|
 Collaborative: |
We look for opportunities to work together, and when we do, we bring our best effort |
|
 Citizens: |
We are preparing to become engaged citizens |
Please enjoy some of the work from our classes during the first two weeks of the school year. We are excited for what this year will bring!
